Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Sector team at TYLin. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing bridge and structure designs for local agencies and design-build clients, delivering projects on time, on budget, and with high quality.

Responsibilities
  • Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures
  • Develop designs, contract plans, and specifications
  • Coordinate with and direct CAD production activities for drawing production
  • Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs
  • Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications
  • Develop engineering studies, reports, and documentation
  • Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers
Qualifications
  • PE License in NJ, NY, or PA
  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures; project management experience a plus
  • Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs; experience in CSI Bridge a plus
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT, and NJTA design and standards preferred
