Position Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Type of Employment: Full-Time Permanent
Specialty Area: Operating Room - OR
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day shifts with variable timings based on surgical volume and unit requirements.
On-Call Duties: Required approximately 4-6 shifts every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute callback radius.
Facility Details: Equipped with 8 Operating Rooms, 1 Cysto Room, and 1 minor procedure room.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled RN - Operating Room Nurse to enhance our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The primary focus is to deliver exceptional patient care while making critical decisions and addressing clinical matters within a patient-centered framework.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, possesses a friendly demeanor, and is committed to ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities include assisting surgeons during procedures and maintaining a sterile environment at all times. You will be accountable for the effective and safe care of patients in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and/or scrub on all surgical cases.
- Work primarily in General, Gynecological, Urology, Orthopedic, Spine, Neurological, Plastic, Robotic (DaVinci XI), and Trauma surgeries.
- Assist with heart and vascular surgeries through specialized service teams.
- Provide breaks and additional sterile instruments as needed during surgeries.
- Support room turnover and restocking for upcoming cases.
- Act as a patient advocate before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Qualifications:
Experience: Previous operating room experience is required, with a preference for candidates with two years of experience in relevant specialties.
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Graduates from accredited nursing programs are required for new graduates and preferred for experienced RNs.
Licensure:
- Current RN license is required; valid nursing licenses from participating states in the National Licensure Compact are acceptable.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium work capacity - ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
