As an off-premise catering service based in Rockville, MD, we prioritize customer satisfaction to create memorable experiences, not just outstanding cuisine. Responsibilities:
  • Support the overarching goals of the company.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations to guarantee high standards of quality and consistency across all menu offerings.
  • Manage food costs, labor expenses, and waste reduction, including sourcing new vendors and products as necessary.
  • Assist with operational logistics, including receiving goods and staff hiring/scheduling.
  • Maintain cleaning protocols in the back of house and exemplify clean work habits and effective time management.
  • Foster a strong work ethic while building and sustaining team morale.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a commercial kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role as a kitchen manager or head chef.
  • A culinary degree is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel, Word, Google Sheets, and catering software is a plus.
  • Possession of Department of Health Certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate and reinforce both basic and advanced culinary skills, ensuring quality control of menu items as required.
  • Strong skills in inventory management and waste reduction, with a history of positive food and labor cost metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capability to manage and inspire kitchen team members.
  • Experience in ordering and building relationships with suppliers.
