About the Role

Fawkes & Reece West Midlands is currently in search of a Lead Cost Consultant to become a vital part of our client's team in the Derby area, focusing on a flagship project valued at approximately £60 million.

This esteemed Tier 1 Contractor is renowned for managing projects for both public and private sector clients, handling schemes up to £200 million across various sectors, including but not limited to:

  • Commercial
  • Mixed-Use Developments
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Leisure
  • Industrial
  • Student Accommodation

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial management of projects exceeding £20 million in value.
  • Conduct detailed cost reporting.
  • Manage procurement of subcontract packages.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies as well as company procedures.
  • Prepare plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and related documentation.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience with a Tier 1 or leading main contractor.
  • A minimum of 10 years in a Quantity Surveyor role.
  • Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid UK Driving License.
