We are currently seeking an experienced:
Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
Part Time
(Harnett & Johnson Counties)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply nursing theories and concepts in patient care.
- Document care according to reimbursement guidelines.
- Coordinate patient care with family, physician, and Hospice team.
- Communicate effectively with patients/families at all levels.
- Collaborate with agency personnel.
- Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice, successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing, with two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of home health and hospice care program framework, function, and organization, as well as the nurse's role in the patient care team.
- Working knowledge of nursing principles and practice according to nursing practice act, agencies policies and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
- 12 hours of continuing education annually.
- CPR certification.
- Travel based on agency need, as well as weekend/evening and holiday call assignments.
About the Opportunity:
This part-time position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, in Harnett & Johnson Counties. With a strong focus on patient-centered care, this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
