GENERAL FUNCTIONS

LOUi Consulting Group, Inc., in collaboration with its partner, SenseAbilities, is dedicated to empowering children and their families by imparting essential knowledge and skills with enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment in the Middle Georgia region.
Speech therapy encompasses the understanding of spoken language (receptive language) and the ability to articulate thoughts and feelings (expressive language). It also addresses the mechanics of speech production, including articulation, pitch, fluency, and volume.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments to identify the strengths and areas for improvement of each child, aiding in the development of tailored programs based on referrals from primary care providers.
  • Utilizing informed clinical judgment to perform assessments, integrating both quantitative and qualitative data regarding a child's developmental needs.
  • Collecting relevant information through systematic observations, interviews, and curriculum-based assessments, along with standardized assessment tools.
  • Administering evaluations that encompass language, speech, and hearing tests, as well as medical data, to formulate effective treatment plans for various speech and language disorders.
  • Providing comprehensive written evaluations within five days of completion, ensuring all reports are signed and deemed complete.
  • Assessing patient needs and modifying treatment strategies in response to their progress, focusing on issues such as delayed language, stuttering, and voice disorders.
  • Creating individualized treatment plans based on personal assessments and recommendations from interdisciplinary team members.
  • Designing educational programs or activities aimed at addressing language, swallowing, behavioral, and speech challenges for individuals or groups.
  • Instructing clients on effective communication techniques, including lip reading, voice enhancement, and sign language.
  • Guiding children in strengthening facial, tongue, and jaw muscles to improve speech clarity.
  • Completing necessary documentation after each therapy session using ClinicSource software within a 48-hour timeframe.
  • Participating in at least two sponsored activities per year to foster community engagement.
  • Attending all scheduled staff meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Implementing universal safety precautions during direct service delivery to minimize the risk of infectious disease transmission.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Active licensure from the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.
  • New graduates (CCC/CFY) are encouraged to apply.
