Position Overview:

Adena - Construction Project Manager I - Saginaw, MI

Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the daily management of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing estimates prepared by the estimating team

• Assisting in the development of schedules, phases, and logistics

• Conducting constructability reviews as necessary

• Creating bid packages and defining scopes of work

• Managing the bidding, awarding, and procurement processes for subcontractors and suppliers

• Overseeing daily project management, including:

• Establishing initial project budget structures

• Updating project budgets at least monthly

• Completing and supervising change requests from owners and subcontractors, ensuring proper submission of change orders

• Auditing project costs and expenditures

• Managing invoicing for owners, subcontractors, etc.

• Ensuring project profitability

• Producing monthly MPSR reports for leadership

• Generating and distributing monthly executive reports to owners and leadership

• Overseeing the RFI and submittal processes

• Providing monthly schedule updates

• Implementing quality control programs

• Collaborating with the Superintendent to maintain project schedules, ensure job site safety, and document daily activities

• Leading OAC meetings and documenting outcomes

• Organizing regular Project Manager meetings and maintaining meeting minutes

• Coordinating work activities with project staff

• Maintaining, updating, and filing project documentation

• Managing all construction-related documents

• Overseeing project closeout and completion documentation

• Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of owner contracts and responsibilities

• Understanding subcontracts and purchase orders executed for the project

• Acting as the primary liaison among the Owner, Design Team, and other stakeholders

• Training, mentoring, and educating Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers

• Continuously analyzing and mitigating project risks

• Participating in RFQ/RFP responses as needed

• Engaging in project interviews as required

• Assisting in identifying and developing future job opportunities

• Adhering to the company's safety policies to foster a safe work environment

• Performing additional duties as assigned

Project Manager Level 1 – Capable of managing projects up to $10,000,000 with minimal oversight.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:


• High School diploma or GED required

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

• Strong work ethic and ability to follow written or verbal instructions

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
