Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our deep foundation and heavy civil construction projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing construction site activities, supervising field personnel, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise construction site activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage field personnel, including laborers and trade personnel, to achieve project goals.
  • Manage company assets, including construction equipment, materials, and tools.
  • Plan and establish the flow of work activities on the project, coordinating all field activities related to project crews, construction equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure projects are progressing in accordance with overall schedules and contract time requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction schedules, and other related project management/operations schematics.
  • Authorized to sign off on project work schedules, time keeping, and material delivery.
  • Daily reports and additional required written communication.
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members, supporting their learning and development.
  • Ensure all Russo employees and contractors adhere to EEO and Safety culture.
  • Participate in annual safety training, EEO training for managers and supervisors, and conduct Employee and Project level policy and protocol reviews.
Requirements
  • 4 years of Commercial/Industrial Construction crew management experience required.
  • 10+ years of commercial or heavy civil construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, including contracts and specifications.
  • Experience in scheduling, supervision, quality control, and management of civil construction projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods.
  • Proficient knowledge of construction-related reports, workforce management assignments, and capabilities, Construction Engineering Capabilities.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Card required.
