Position for Aquatic Safety Officer

The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Key responsibilities include monitoring swimmer safety, averting potential hazards, and managing emergency situations effectively. Additional tasks encompass maintaining pool facilities, delivering excellent customer service, and advocating for programs at the Fitness & Recreation Center.

Key Qualifications:
  • Valid lifeguard certification (documentation required)
  • American Red Cross certifications in First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Lifeguarding
  • Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to respond to auditory and visual signals for assistance
  • Proficient in swimming a distance of 300 yards
