Precision Grinding Specialist

Adcole, a world leader in industrial metrology equipment, is seeking a skilled Precision Grinding Specialist to join their team. With over 60 years of experience, the company designs and manufactures machines for measuring precision cylindrical and rotating components.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related experience in precision grinding to tolerances less than 1 micron, with a strong background in setup and operation of Okamoto Surface Grinders, Junker Cylindrical Grinders, and Kellenberger Cylindrical Grinders. Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will work on tight schedules, requiring efficient equipment and time management skills. They will be responsible for completing assigned tasks while following manufacturing schedules, policies, and procedures, ensuring quality products are produced in accordance with labor and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate manually operated cylindrical and surfacing grinding equipment to produce very tight toleranced, proprietary parts in support of Adcole's gaging systems.
- Acquire job skills and learn all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Adhere strictly to the company's health, safety, and PPE policies.
- Maintain time and attendance in accordance with company policies, procedures, and work area schedule.
- Escalate situations and conditions that are critical to quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Demonstrated capability to read and interpret complex part mechanical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math.
- Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
