Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Stock Assembler to join our team at Weatherby Inc. in Sheridan, WY. As a Stock Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling various components and products to meet our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components to specifications using various tools and equipment
  • Operate pneumatic equipment and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment efficiently and safely
  • Perform final inspection for finished product to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Load, operate, and adjust manufacturing equipment as needed
  • Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary
  • Fulfill daily production log requirements
  • Use hand tools to set up and adjust equipment
  • Perform routine inspection of parts to ensure surface finishes and dimensions meet specifications
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to process technician or leader
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow prescribed safety procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; manufacturing experience a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to use and read measuring instruments
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Working Conditions

The employee will be subject to prolonged standing and will be required to manipulate and assemble small parts. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
