Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stylist-in-Training to join our team at Regis Salon. As a Stylist-in-Training, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced salon environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with management, customers, and co-workers.
  • Market and grow the business by promoting and selling services and retail products.
  • Observe and learn from experienced stylists and managers.
  • Control expenses and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) to perform salon services within or before 90 days of hire-date.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment and possess good time management skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Computer knowledge including point-of-sale systems and data entry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. to stock retail shelves.
  • Continuous standing throughout the day.
  • Continuous reaching, alternating between shoulder level and above shoulder level height to stock shelves.
  • Occasional pushing and pulling to move styling chair.
  • Continuous exposure to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services and styling hair.
Compensation

Base pay range of $14-$15/hr. Sign on bonus payable after 6 months of up to $1,500. With tips, commission, and production bonus, stylists can make between $16-$26 an hour.
