Job Summary:
Geisinger Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff. Responsibilities:

As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining patient hygiene, and transporting patients to and from tests and procedures. You will also be responsible for processing specimens, performing point-of-care testing, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will assist with problem-solving, trouble-shooting, and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies. You will also serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students, providing guidance and support in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of one year of related work experience. You will also need to possess Basic Life Support Certification within six months. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies, as well as stand for long periods of time.
