Job Overview


The Reinsurance Treaty Analyst will play a crucial role in executing reinsurance treaty agreements that safeguard Chubb's business units. This position involves a thorough examination of Chubb's treaty reinsurance contracts, pinpointing key terms and conditions, and conducting analyses related to premium and commission registrations, along with other relevant criteria.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, including Divisional Financial Officers, senior underwriters, Ceded Reinsurance buyers and brokers, as well as Senior Management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and implement treaty reinsurance agreements to support various Chubb business units.
  • Conduct data analysis and reconciliations to ensure quality control of claims attachments and premium registrations.
  • Assist management in preparing and developing scheduled reporting requirements.
  • Maintain established metrics of business performance to evaluate and control monthly production and premium registration by statutory company and line of business.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership teams to prepare and assess ceded premium allocations that accurately reflect business unit financial outcomes.
  • Communicate and resolve issues with the Underwriting organization, Finance, and reinsurance intermediaries to ensure efficient execution of ceded reinsurance programs.
  • Support the planning and execution of special projects and perform additional duties as needed to meet company objectives within set timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics.
  • Technical Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Access or SQL is advantageous.
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of reinsurance operations and industry practices.
  • Organizational Skills: Results-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and self-motivate.
  • Communication Skills: Capable of clear communication with colleagues at all levels, producing documents that are well-organized and grammatically correct.
  • Work Ethic: A strong commitment to diligence and high ethical standards.
