Job Summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is seeking a highly skilled Facility Project Planner I/II to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Division, you will be responsible for managing multiple aspects of project planning, design, budgeting, renovation, and installation processes for new and existing projects worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide corporate-level oversight and coordination in planning Navy Exchange and NEXCOM Hospitality Group facility projects, including economic analysis, scope development, site plans, cost estimating, and project development.
  • Interface with NEXCOM base commands and design construction firms to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with clients' field managers and installation regional representatives to identify project requirements and develop project details for briefings.
  • Perform facility assessments and inspections, capture deficiencies, and document existing conditions for NEXCOM facilities.
  • Develop and implement project scopes of work for design and/or construction, as well as associated project cost estimates for Navy Exchange and NEXCOM Hospitality Group.
  • Evaluate project-siting and repair versus new footprint project alternatives, and develop concept site and project floor plans to validate the viability of locations under consideration.
Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450, as required.
  • Must have a degree in architecture or engineering or related field, or a combination of education and experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and a good understanding of architectural/engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Must have at least 3-4 years of responsible experience in project management, facility planning, and design, or similar work that provided the knowledge and abilities to perform architectural or engineering work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Civil engineering background with experience in civil design, methods of construction, and environmental control systems.
