Job Summary

The University of Miami seeks a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager 3 to lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion. This key role will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Direct and supervise construction staff, architects, engineers, and support personnel to ensure project delivery.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and mitigate risks, conflicts, and contract compliance issues.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including contractors, designers, and inspectors.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including financial performance, schedule, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with University policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
