Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Individual Support: Ensure the comfort, safety, and general supervision of individuals in both the home and community, as well as provide home management services.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance to all applicable regulations and requirements, and provide opportunities and support for our individuals to build and develop a sense of belonging in the community.
  • Job Responsibilities: Represent the Mission, Vision, and Values of AMA Support Services through action and presentation, create a culture of high professional and ethical standards, and provide encouragement, assistance, and support for all activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Community Participation: Ensure that Community Participation Services are delivered as prescribed in the participants Individual Support Plan (ISP), and develop a positive working relationship with the individuals support team.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure that all service records and company documentation is complete, thorough, accurate, and compliant to all applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Transportation and Accompaniment: Transport and accompany participants to and from appointments and activities, and manage individual and company finances, including making and recording transactions in accordance with policy, procedure, and regulation.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Experience: Work experience as a caregiver (professional or personal) preferred
  • Skills and Qualifications: Valid Driver's license, ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with others, and proficient technology skills, including the use of smartphones, laptops, and web-based database navigation.
Working Conditions
  • Hours and Schedule: Hours and weekly schedule are dictated by current tasks and program needs, which may include filling in for vacant shifts with little notice.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent lifting, stretching, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and other physical exertion while assisting individuals in service.
  • Work Environment: Work will take place in a variety of settings, including an office, in the community, and in the homes of the people in service.
