Job Overview: As a Deli Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to create an uplifting and friendly customer experience through exceptional service. Your primary focus will be on prioritizing work activities efficiently, identifying and resolving problems, and empowering associates to deliver a simple, fresh, and inspired shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish an uplifting work environment that values and engages associates
  • Empower associates to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Communicate company information to associates
  • Orient new associates to the department
  • Support the Customer 1st team
  • Delegate work assignments effectively
  • Ensure responsibilities are covered when absent
  • Execute action plans and daily priorities
  • Adhere to food safety regulations
  • Reinforce safety programs
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
  • Promote corporate brands to customers
  • Manage Deli associate scheduling
  • Provide feedback to help teams grow
  • Maintain/explain knowledge of products
  • Create/executing sales promotions
  • Monitor/control supply expenses
  • Assist store management with budget preparation
  • Take appropriate action on financial reports
  • Develop/implement a department business plan

Requirements:

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
