POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse will deliver exceptional nursing care within the Medical/Surgical unit. This role encompasses the entire nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize the nursing process to address the needs of patients across all age groups, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer treatments safely and effectively.
- Dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Interpret and evaluate diagnostic test results responsibly.
- Exhibit knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Engage in patient education and counseling, ensuring understanding of care plans.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and competency, including mandatory training as required.
- Foster positive relationships and demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Uphold confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in accordance with the Colorado State Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide care on the Medical/Surgical floor as needed.
- Participate in assigned committees and initiatives.
- Comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Contribute to the mission and goals of Estes Park Health.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Possession of a current Colorado RN license is mandatory.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required upon hire.
- ACLS and basic ECG competency must be achieved within six months; PALS certification is required within one year.
COMPENSATION:
Hourly wage of $46.43, with an additional PRN differential of $4.50/hr.
