Job Summary

Sonic Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Research/Histology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator in operationalizing clinical protocols relevant to Bio-specimen procurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, consent, and track eligible study subjects for clinical trials
  • Introduce study details and parameters to study candidates and medical staff
  • Field candidates' questions and concerns about the study
  • Obtain signed informed consent from study participants
  • Prepare slides for staining, including cutting paraffin sections
  • Function as liaison between study candidates and Principal Investigator
  • Track study candidate recruitment and specimen collection
  • Coordinate pre-operative blood collection and storage
  • Collect data, complete Case Report Forms, and manage study records
  • Transfer study data confidentially and manage inventory

Requirements

  • Pathology Assistant or advanced Med-tech degree and certification preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a licensed and certified laboratory setting
  • Experience working with clinical research protocols and technical procedures
  • Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
