Aircraft Maintenance Manager Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft fleet. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and inspection process, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures aircraft are maintained in conformity with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, service troubleshooting, and part replacements.
  • Inspects the work accomplished by Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics.
  • Maintains all necessary records and logbooks, including certification that the aircraft is approved and returned to service in the aircraft's permanent maintenance records.
  • Plans and prepares maintenance and/or repair estimates and determines the scope of work and personnel required.
  • Other administrative-related duties as assigned by leader.

Requirements:

  • Active and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics certificate with current FAA Inspection Authorization required.
  • Four years of related work experience is required.
  • Experience with Bell & Hiller helicopters is preferred.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
