Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer safe and effective respiratory care as per physician orders, focusing on specialty areas such as Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care.
  • Monitor mechanical ventilation and provide medication administration.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and understand the implications of hemodynamic monitoring and blood work results.
  • Maintain precise documentation of all respiratory care procedures in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and patient care rounds.
  • Provide training and orientation for new staff and students.
  • Perform arterial blood gas draws and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Engage in continuous education and training to enhance professional skills.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be graduates of a COARC accredited Respiratory Care Program and possess the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential as per NBRC guidelines. A minimum of one year of experience in General Respiratory Care and Mechanical Ventilation is preferred, along with knowledge in Cardiac Diagnostics.
