Key Responsibilities:

Contested Foreclosure and Title Management:

  • Oversee a portfolio of contested foreclosure cases as assigned.
  • Serve as a records custodian and fact witness in various legal proceedings, providing testimony regarding servicing processes as required.
  • Analyze and interpret mortgage documentation to serve as a corporate witness in contested foreclosure cases.
  • Negotiate settlements with minimal oversight within designated authority limits.
  • Respond to requests from assigned legal representatives for settlement authority and other necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal firms to ensure timely and effective responses to discovery requests.
  • Support the attorney network in legal recovery initiatives.
  • Identify and report any potential liability issues or trends to management.
  • Process all correspondence related to accounts assigned to legal representatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of actions, discovery, and witness obligations for future reference.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as directed by management.
  • Investigate and resolve title issues that may hinder foreclosure sale completion or post-sale transactions.

Loan Administration Support:

  • Assist with the standard foreclosure process for both Judicial and Non-Judicial filings as needed.
  • Organize and manage attorney requests efficiently.
  • Conduct final reviews and execute all necessary documents related to the foreclosure process.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding legal bills and invoices.
  • Provide assistance with various tasks as required by the foreclosure team, including addressing borrower inquiries and prioritizing documentation.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in training and cross-training opportunities with team members.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative spirit by assisting colleagues when necessary.
  • Participate in job-related training sessions and seminars to enhance professional knowledge.

Additional Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in foreclosure or mortgage servicing.
  • Experience in the legal sector, particularly with law firms, is desirable.
  • At least 3 years of experience in litigation resolution preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to meet individual and team case management objectives.
  • Proficient in multitasking and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work remotely as needed.
  • Capability to follow directions from colleagues to provide accurate testimony.
