Job Summary:

Maintains a well-organized system to ensure a smooth patient flow in the clinical setting. This includes adhering to established procedures, standards of care, and regulatory requirements as it applies to direct patient care in the outpatient setting. Provides basic, direct patient care under the direction of a physician or mid-level provider, ensuring all care is provided in compliance with departmental policy.

Key Responsibilities:
Rooms patients, collects vitals, chief complaint / medical / social history.
Breakdown, cleaning, and setup of exam rooms to ensure consistent patient flow.
Assist with clinical inventory process.
Delivers direct care and comfort care to satisfy patient needs.

Additional Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate medical records by filing reports with Medent (EMR) and ensuring completeness of documents prior to filing chart.
Facilitates coordination for patient access to resources.
Follows through with patient lab orders, including phlebotomy, point of care testing, and EKG, and specimen collection.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior medical office experience preferred.
One year previous emergency department, nursing school student, CNA preferred and/or equivalent required.
Computer skills and working knowledge of programs preferred.
Must possess above-average typing skills and ability to use information systems.

Ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions.
Ability to work well with people and multi-task.
Ability to set priorities and organize work environment.
Knowledge in the use of select clinical equipment.
Superior interpersonal skills required.
Must be flexible, self-motivated, and able to function efficiently without constant direct supervision.
Must possess strong customer service and team-oriented attributes.
Must be adept with oxygen tanks and regulators, twelve lead EKG, setup of nebulizers, performing blood pressures, safe operation of wheelchairs and stretchers.

Compensation:
$26.65 per hour. Pay Grade: 16. Compensation may vary based upon overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
