Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neurodiagnostic Technologist I to join our team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing EEG, ambulatory, and video telemetry studies, as well as maintaining a flexible schedule to support our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine EEGs using paste and obtain high-quality data
  • Learns EEG monitoring and performs independently after orientation
  • Gathers patient information, prepares patients and families for studies, and transcribes information to records
  • Documents data in Epic, labels abnormalities, and provides interpretations
  • Teaches students and notifies supervisors of patient issues
  • Performs QA and maintenance procedures, troubleshoots with supervision, and sends data to servers when recording
  • Maintains a flexible schedule and provides daily rotating schedule/weekend support
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Technical Diploma from an EEG Technology program required
  • Previous hospital and pediatric experience preferred
  • Ability to handle mildly to severely brain-damaged children, mechanical ability, and aptitude, and ability to work independently and under stress
  • Ability to teach in an organized and effective manner and make decisions in stressful situations
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (EEG) certification within 36 months and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
