Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vascular imaging and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform professional-level assessments and non-invasive studies using ultrasound and related diagnostic technology.
  • Record results and clinical preliminary impressions as indicated.
  • Evaluate complex disease states using state-of-the-art equipment in arterial and venous testing.
  • Participate in daily maintenance and care of equipment.
  • Communicate preliminary impressions of examination results to referring physicians.
  • Solve problems related to the daily needs of patients, the department, and/or clinic with professional standards on documentation of care and timeliness.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for the UW School of Ultrasound and participate in the instruction of fellows, residents, and visiting physicians.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year vascular imaging experience required.
  • Experience in an Academic Level - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Prior traveler experience highly preferred.
  • Registered in vascular ultrasound (RVT or RVS).
  • BLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY.
  • Successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field.
  • Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
Work Environment:

Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.

The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.

During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.

Parking:

Permit required through UW Transportation

Shifts:

40 hours/week, Days, Monday - Friday. Start time will vary from 7:30am, 8:00am, and 8:30am. Occasional Saturdays, as needed.
