Job Title: Marketing Events Manager

Join the team at Sandia Resort & Casino as a Marketing Events Manager, where you will be responsible for leading the events for all on and off-property sponsored events. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Book and partner with entertainment agencies for contracting talent and manage the approval submission process to resort leadership, gaming commission, and tribal council.
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external service providers.
  • Prepare proformas and postforms for the financial feasibility of proposed entertainment and manage the contracting and payment process of all entertainment expenses.
  • Create detailed event itineraries and coordinate all operational departments to ensure efficient execution of events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Three (3) years' experience in marketing/entertainment/public relations field.
Working Conditions:

The Marketing Events Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, subject to change with overtime work required to work various shifts, including weekends. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions and be subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm.

The Marketing Events Manager must be able to work in a variety of environments, including uneven, inclined, hard, and soft carpeted floors, cement structures, and surfaces.

Key Performance Indicators:

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process.

  • Understanding of live entertainment production

  • Entertainment booking, routing, and contracts
  • Ability to efficiently and professionally work and communicate with management and co-workers in a stressful environment
  • Provide superior guest/client service
  • Knowledge of entertainment demands
  • My knowledge of Microsoft Office includes Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

The Marketing Events Manager must have excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in the marketing and advertising of entertainment events, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects and interface with colleagues in a professional manner.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct management and supervision to all reporting Team Members, typically for a larger department, operational area, or more complex professional department.
  • Functions as an advisor to the operations and sets goals that are results-oriented, organized, and account for business challenges.
  • Guides the team to achieve a well-defined structure and efficient operation.
  • Delegates responsibilities to the most qualified Team Members through observing and understanding strengths and weaknesses.
  • Creates an environment of teamwork, through communicating common goals, shows appreciation for team members' contributions and ongoing support, and leads by example.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively in a professional and articulate manner.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of all reporting departments/operational areas.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems, generate solutions, and implement them.

The Marketing Events Manager must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively, and demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
