Job Overview

InGenesis is currently in search of a Physician to collaborate with our client. This position involves serving as a Family and General Practitioner within a specialized addiction treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform comprehensive medical evaluations and coordinate patient care.
  2. Examine medical histories and clarify details with patients.
  3. Conduct thorough physical assessments and document findings.
  4. Order diagnostic tests to support the evaluation of patient symptoms and conditions.
  5. Discuss examination results and test outcomes with patients.
  6. Administer medical treatments and prescribe necessary medications to address health issues.
  7. Engage with pharmacies to resolve medication-related concerns.
  8. Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  9. Maintain accurate records of patient information, diagnoses, prescriptions, and treatment responses.
  10. Refer patients to specialized medical professionals or additional treatment providers.
  11. Communicate patient conditions, treatment plans, and prognoses with family members and caregivers.
  12. Oversee and manage the treatment and care of a designated group of patients.
  13. Supervise nursing staff and other healthcare personnel in patient care activities.
  14. Lead and guide other medical staff in their duties.
  15. Design and implement healthcare programs and educational initiatives.
  16. Review patient records to ensure appropriate treatments are administered and documentation is maintained.
  17. Participate in discharge planning and authorize patient discharges.

Qualifications

  1. Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State, holding an M.D., M.B.B.S., or D.O. degree.
  2. Completion of a minimum of one year of post-graduate training recognized by relevant medical accreditation bodies.
  3. At least one year of professional experience following post-graduate training.
  4. Possession of a DEA certification.
  5. Certification to prescribe Buprenorphine (Suboxone) or willingness to obtain certification if not currently certified.
