About the Role:
Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a skilled Health Communications Specialist to lead the development and execution of innovative outreach initiatives that promote health and wellness in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement community health campaigns to promote youth substance use prevention and support community health.
- Develop, test, and refine messaging and materials in collaboration with graphic designers and partners.
- Manage program budgets, report outcomes, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Engage in advocacy efforts and uphold the values of trauma-informed care, respect, and empowerment in all interactions.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience OR a master's degree with 2+ years of experience in communication, marketing, behavioral health, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage large projects and collaborate across teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, videoconferencing, and online reporting systems.
- A valid driver's license, private insurance, and the ability to travel within the service area.
- Home internet connection.
- Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance.
