POSITION OVERVIEW

The Confectionery Production Specialist will be tasked with crafting a diverse range of sweet products, including fudge, popcorn, brittles, caramel, and chocolate-coated items, as well as waffle cones and bowls, among others.

This role also involves supporting various tasks when not engaged in product preparation, with a key emphasis on delivering an exceptional customer experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcomes and engages with customers
  • Responds to customer inquiries and offers product recommendations
  • Possesses a solid understanding of available product selections
  • Prepares products according to approved recipes
  • Adheres to food safety regulations
  • Assists in restocking and organizing displays
  • Utilizes the Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Maintains cleanliness; includes dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and disposing of waste
  • Packages orders and gift baskets
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in operating POS systems and providing accurate change
  • Strong teamwork skills, attentive listening, and ability to follow instructions
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Current student or possess a High School diploma/equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in sales is beneficial but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a retail environment
