Aerial Lineman Telecom Specialist

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team. As an Aerial Lineman, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, safely operating equipment and vehicles, and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely operate equipment and vehicles
• Maintain a safe work environment, including setting up and using signage, cones, and safety barriers
• Understand and comply with separation and clearance regulations
• Safely work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
• Travel to multiple locations as required

• Successful completion of pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not required)
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck
• High School Diploma or GED

• Splicing of active and passive equipment
• Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques

• Climb into and out of equipment
• Lift/carry 80 lbs. regularly
• Work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold temperatures
