Aerial Lineman Telecom Job Description

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a skilled Aerial Lineman Telecom to join our team. As an Aerial Lineman Telecom, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring the safe operation of equipment and vehicles, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely operate equipment and vehicles
• Understand safe work site setup and maintain a safe work environment
• Install and repair aerial telecommunications equipment
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not required)
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck
• Ability to perform all duties in telecommunications construction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Splicing of active & passive equipment
• Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Lift/carry 80 lbs. regularly as needed with or without assistance
• Work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, and hardhat
