Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team at Helping Hands Hawaii. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring timely and accurate data entry, and providing exceptional support to our accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Enter data into our accounting system with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verify and process transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including trial balances and other financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries and adjustments as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • At least six months to one year of experience in financial accounting, with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and perform data entry tasks.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local taxes, as well as corporate and payroll taxes.
  • Working knowledge of SAGE 100 accounting software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to use a properly insured vehicle.
