Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medication orders, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Triage and interpret medication orders, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met.
- Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions.
- Resolve issues related to denials and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS).
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.
- Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers.
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy-related experience.
- Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer.
- Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, customer service, and oral communication skills.
