Job Summary:

Terracon is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. Your expertise will ensure the quality and safety of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
  • Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors to discuss project requirements and testing results.
  • Transport material samples to laboratories for further testing and analysis.
  • Prepare and submit data and observation reports to project managers.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards and follow safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Construction or materials testing experience is a plus.
  • Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
