Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and replacing air filters, spark plugs, and belts.
  • Assist in facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organizing the shop area.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in transportation maintenance, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively, work shift work/weekend as required, perform all entry-level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computers.
