Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Laboratory Scientist to join our team at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. As a Junior Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for executing and documenting scientific experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting scientific staff in conducting and reporting the results of laboratory experiments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document scientific experiments and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Assist scientific staff in conducting and reporting the results of laboratory experiments.
  • Monitor ongoing experiments for any unusual occurrences.
  • Develop a practical understanding of own scientific discipline and apply this knowledge in support of product development.
  • Perform biochemical assays such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, HPLC, ELISA, molecular assays such as ddPCR and qPCR.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to clearly communicate in writing and verbally with internal staff.
  • Capable of monitoring ongoing experiments for any unusual occurrences.
  • Able to assist in the implementation of new methods and processes.
  • Basic equipment troubleshooting and detail oriented and accurate.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments with little supervision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science related field with 1 year of relevant experience; OR Associate's Degree in a science related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • GMP experience is preferred.

  • Experience prolonged standing, along with some bending, stooping, and stretching.

  • Potential for exposure to hazardous chemicals, gases, fumes, odors, mists, and dusts, and other hazardous materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion and 25 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to wear PPE.
