We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at The Arora Group. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in a detention facility setting.

Job Summary:

The Primary Care Physician will serve as the on-site medical authority, responsible for developing and coordinating all aspects of healthcare delivery at the assigned facility. This includes providing direct patient care, clinical oversight, and consultation to other medical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to detainees, including adult men and women and children
  • Develop and implement healthcare delivery plans for patients
  • Conduct physical assessments, initial and follow-up assessments for acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and services
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
  • Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine degree from a U.S. or Canadian program accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where the duty station is located
  • Unrestricted license from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe controlled medications
  • Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers
  • Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting (preferred)
