AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at a correctional facility in Elk Grove, California.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to provide high-quality medical care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary care, with a minimum of two years of experience in adult medicine within the last three years.
Responsibilities:- Deliver medical services within the scope of practice for Physician services, adhering to facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide high-quality services, consistent with established and widely accepted standards and principles of medical practice.
- Obtain prior written authorization from the facility CEO/CME or designee for non-emergency specialty treatment, consultations, or diagnostic procedures.
- Transport patients to other facilities only with prior written authorization from the facility CEO/CME or designee.
- Perform or administer only those medical services that are recognized as being in accordance with generally accepted professional medical standards and deemed safe and effective for treating the relevant illness, injury, or condition.
- Participate in clinical reviews to assess the quality of clinical care provided, as requested by the facility CEO/CME or designee.
- Active California Physician license.
- A minimum of two years of experience in primary care (adult) as a Physician within the last three years.
- Specialty Services: In addition to the above requirements, Physicians who are requested to work in specialized areas such as Emergency Medicine, Surgery, etc., must also have at least two years (2) years of experience within the last 3 years providing patient care within that setting and possess any required certificates.
- Obstetrics/Gynecology: Physicians who will be staffed at female institutions/facilities must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last five (5) years providing obstetric and gynecological nursing or patient care services in a healthcare setting.
- Clinical competencies must be up-to-date and validated for the specific area in which the Physician will be assigned.
The Physician will work in a correctional facility setting, providing medical care to patients. The working hours will be Monday through Friday, 7A-3P.
Compensation:The Physician will be compensated at a rate of $135/hour.
