Job Overview

Hyde Park Hospitality is seeking a skilled Airport Lounge Cleaner to join our team at The Club, located within the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our lounge areas, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain lounge areas, including rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  • Restock bar supplies, clean dishware, and operate the dishwasher.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Clean restrooms, disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and replenish bathroom supplies.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and perform other floor work as needed.
  • Clean breakrooms/kitchens, disinfect sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, and replenish break room supplies.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment, partitions, and other areas.
  • Perform tasks safely and according to established procedures to prevent personal injury, injury to others, and avoid damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Ability to successfully pass airport authority security background check.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Related background in housekeeping or janitorial service.
  • Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers.
  • Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
