Job Overview:
As a vital member of our laboratory team, you will play an essential role in the patient care process by preparing and embedding slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Identify when troubleshooting is necessary for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control standards.

Position Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A minimum of graduation from a Histotechnology program accredited by CAHEA/NAACLS and HT (ASCP).
  • At least one year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
  • Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or an equivalent body.
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Technical Skills:
You should be capable of operating general laboratory equipment, including:
  • Telephones
  • Computers
  • Automated analyzers
  • Centrifuges
  • Microscopes
  • Manual and automated pipettes
  • Audible alarms
