Job Title: On-Call Behavioral Health Associate

Join The Salvation Army USA Western Territory as an On-Call Behavioral Health Associate and contribute to the well-being of individuals in need.

About the Role

This position is responsible for supporting the clinical staff in ensuring treatment outcomes by supervising client activities and chores. The successful candidate will perform data entry into databases, prepare paperwork, conduct client intakes and orientation groups, document client behaviors in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and assist with operational functions and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise client activities and chores under the general supervision of the Operations Manager
  • Perform data entry into databases and prepare paperwork
  • Conduct client intakes and orientation groups
  • Document client behaviors in the EHR
  • Assist with operational functions and scheduling
  • Monitor clients, provide client education, and facilitate client recovery skills groups as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some additional education or training to perform clinical and clerical functions
  • Alaska State Counselor Technician certificate preferred
  • One year's experience in the field of substance abuse, homelessness, or related field (preferred)
  • One year's experience in clerical and data entry work; proficiency in using general office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite, health databases, and report-generating programs
Working Environment

The work environment is located in a Residential treatment setting. The noise level is moderate.

Language Skills

The employee must be able to understand, follow, and give both written and oral instructions. The employee must be able to use speech and hearing for ordinary and telephone conversation.

Mathematical Skills

The employee must be able to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and apply concepts such as ratios and percentages in practical situations.

Performance Skills

The employee must be creative, self-motivated, organized, flexible, and possess leadership skills.
