About the Position

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will work collaboratively with the supervising Speech and Language Pathologist to deliver communication services to students with disabilities. This role involves providing individualized or small group communication services, documenting student progress, and consulting with other team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide communication services to students with disabilities under the direction of the supervising Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Document student progress and report to the supervising Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Consult with other team members as needed to support student progress.
  • Develop and implement modifications and revisions to meet the ongoing needs of each student.
  • Assist with clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license as set forth by the State of Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language and Audiology.
  • Recent successful experience and training working with children birth to five experiencing a disability on skills related to speech development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and utilize complex scheduling and time management techniques in the daily implementation of therapy in a number of different settings throughout the community.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual.
