Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team at Park State Bank. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile general ledger and internal bank-controlled deposit accounts accurately and efficiently.
  • Review daily GL to GL transactions for FDICIA requirements.
  • Resolve balancing issues and escalate unresolved issues to the Controller.
  • Serve as backup to the Accounts Payable function.
  • Assist in preparing the quarterly call report and annual summary of deposits.
  • Support the timely and accurate completion of other bank regulatory reports.
  • Reconcile the bank's bond portfolio and interest rate hedges.
  • Prepare daily and monthly public entity pledging reports.
  • Collaborate with the Bond Portfolio Manager and Payment Operations Department on trade activity.
  • Reconcile investor servicing portfolios to ensure data accuracy and complete monthly reporting.
  • Work with system support and other departments to resolve system-related issues.
  • Contribute to departmental processes and procedures.
  • Monitor the general ledger for potential accounting misstatements or errors.
  • Promptly report identified material errors or suspicious activity to the Controller.
  • Perform special projects as assigned, including research and analysis.
Requirements
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from a two- or four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience or equivalent related experience in the financial services industry or accounts payable.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience.

This is a full-time position working in an indoor office setting. The employee will have access to all employees' accounts, customer information, and the bank's finances. Therefore, maintaining confidentiality is essential.
