Certification Requirements

  • Compliance with unit-specific exams and certifications
  • Annual acknowledgment of HIPAA Safety Manual

Job Details
  • Title: MRI Technologist
  • Shift Schedule: FRI-SUN - 7PM - 7:30AM, 3X12 Weekends
  • Average Daily Patient Volume: 35-40 cases
  • Patient Demographics: Inpatient and outpatient, with a focus on neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging. Excludes cardiac imaging.
  • Documentation System: EPIC
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years
  • Age Groups Served: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Professional Qualifications
  • Essential Certifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), BLS (Basic Life Support), Ohio State License
  • Required Skills: Experience in Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and Pediatric Acute Care
  • Imaging Proficiency: Abdominal, Female Pelvis, Male Pelvis, Chest, Brain, Face/Soft Tissue Neck, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, and Shoulder imaging
  • Familiarity with: PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and Siemens equipment
  • Special Imaging Techniques: Fusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Image post-processing, Maximum intensity projection (MIP), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Perfusion, Spectroscopy, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 Weighted Images, T-2 Weighted Images
  • Spine Imaging Expertise: Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic
Shift Information
  • Work Schedule: 3X12 Weekends, FRI-SUN - 7PM - 7:30AM
Additional Considerations
  • Residency Declaration Form is necessary for candidates utilizing a compact license not issued in Ohio
  • Certifications must align with specific unit requirements; AHA only
  • Travelers have the option to renew ACLS and BLS at the facility; consult Lead CL for guidance
  • Various certifications are mandated for specific units (ER, OB, Psych, L&D, Post-Partum)
  • Verification of Tech Certifications is required for Surgical Technologists and SPT
  • Annual acknowledgment of HIPAA Safety Manual is mandatory
  • State License and NURSYS Verification must be completed within 30 days of employment
  • Competency exams are required for specific roles
  • Fingerprint Attestation must be signed for candidates in designated units
