We invite you to become a vital member of our Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU), where you will engage with patients experiencing various Cardiac and Vascular conditions, delivering intermediate-level care.
Our unit addresses a wide range of medical issues, including but not limited to congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarctions, and cardiac dysrhythmias. The role involves performing essential interventions such as echocardiograms, managing pacemakers, and assisting in vascular surgeries. As a member of our nursing team, you will gain expertise in cardiac rhythm interpretation, drip titration, and post-catheterization care.
Our nurses are equipped with advanced training in ACLS and NIHSS, ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies throughout the facility. The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital is responsible for delivering exemplary nursing care in accordance with physician directives and established protocols.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and unrestricted RN licensure in Georgia
- A minimum of two years of RN experience following orientation or residency
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Additional cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications may be required based on unit specifications
- Further education, competencies, and certifications may be necessary depending on unit needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a BSN degree is highly desirable
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty is advantageous
- Other preferred qualifications may vary by unit
