Capstone at Centerra is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Memory Care Director to lead our Generations Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating all clinical, programming, and staffing aspects of our memory care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for residents with dementia, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Supervise and train staff to provide high-quality care and support services to residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and community organizations to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify changes in resident status and develop strategies to address these changes.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of staff and supplies.
- Develop and implement educational programs for caregivers and staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in dementia care.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing dementia care.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings to communicate key issues and concerns within the department.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in gerontology, nursing, social work, or a related field.
- Prefer 2 years of experience providing residential care to the elderly or similar experience with specialized dementia care programs.
- Prefer RN or LPN License.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
