Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Bethesda Group, LLC. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize residents' apartments and common areas, including removing trash, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning glass.
  • Replace and restock toilet tissue, paper towels, and facial tissue.
  • Deep clean apartments and common areas as assigned, following community policies and procedures.
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture, wash windows and screens as assigned.
  • Respond to residents' cleaning needs in a positive, timely, and respectful manner.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in by ensuring they are clean and welcoming.
  • Clean up after accidents in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the dignity of the resident.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in clean, working order.
  • Report any safety concerns, repairs needed, or problem areas to the Director as soon as they are recognized.
  • Follow all infection control and safety procedures associated with job duties, as described in departmental policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in housekeeping in a healthcare or hospitality service preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload as emergencies arise.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and practices.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with residents, families, visitors, and staff in a way that ensures the safety and security of the residents.
  • Compassion and genuine care for the elderly.
  • Demonstrates a SERVANT heart and attitude by following our Mission Statement.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements

The environment includes residents who may have memory problems, incontinence, and need assistance with ambulation. The position may require some strenuous physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.
