We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Friendship Village, a premier Life Plan Community. As a staff nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to residents in a 24-hour operation, delegating and supervising the care provided by nursing assistants. You will administer medications, perform treatments and procedures, obtain specimens as needed, and complete documentation as required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff and directly provide nursing care to residents as assigned.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, family/social activities, and actively promote independent lifestyle of residents.
- Initiate the individual plan of care based on health care goals, physician's orders, and nursing assessments.
- Assist residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
- Record vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
- Assure that the unit and resident room areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience.
- Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Respond to all call lights promptly.
- Assist in assuring the maximum quality of life for all residents by maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preference, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in facility activities and events.
- Maintain continuous communication with physician and D.O.N.
- Registered Nurse with a current State of Missouri license.
