Job Description

Overview:

Delta World Tire Company is a leading independent tire dealer with a wide range of services, including tire sales, automotive repair, and preventative maintenance. As a General Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport customers to and from their destination using the company vehicle.
  • Pick up parts, supplies, tires, and other materials from vendors and the corporate office using the company vehicle.
  • Operate the company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws.
  • Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles in an ethical manner, following all company and state guidelines.
  • Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
  • Perform oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
  • Observe general vehicle condition and point out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside the building.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars.
  • Ability to work Monday - Saturday.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR, and criminal background check.
